Located in the epicenter of luxuy of the city in “carrer Mallorca” between Passeig de Gracia and Pau Claris, this outstanding Eixample local fits to perfection and displays an elegant selection of haute-couture furniture, lighting and accessories. The Dutch brand conveys a design language reinterpreting the main classic styles of the XX century, and prides itself for having developed a unique style since their beginnings.
After opening monoband stores in their main markets such as Saint Petersburg in Russia or Miami USA, the brand has chosen Barcelona as their first European store with an aim to reach the Spanish and Mediterranean market. Eichholtz, which mostly has based their business model in B2B through resellers and collaborating with renowned international interior designers, has earned their prestige owing its presence in the most reputed fairs of the sector, such as Maison & Objet in Paris, or Salone di Mobile in Milan.
Specializing in three type of products furniture, accessories, and lighting the brand developes pieces that they like to call “modernized classics”, as many of their designs are inspired by the main decoratives styles of the XX century such as Modernism and Art Deco. Such reinterpretation has been of the keys to choose Barcelona as the main destination for the firm in Europe. “We believe our pieces -with its Deco or Modernist inspiration-, will perfectly fit on a newly refurbished apartment of Eixample”- Says Manuel Gulias, director of Hestia In & Out and distributor of Eichholtz in Spain.
The firm aims to reach beyond locals and widen their scope to an international community that choses Barcelona as their residency. “People from Barcelona have always had an interest for design at a more conceptual level, and also for decoration, taking care of the interior of their homes. That converts them into clients who will value our offer. Barcelona is also a very cosmopolitan city with a very strong presence of an international community who is very integrated and that already know Eichholtz through other markets” – says Gulias. Besides this point there is a potential contract market that is growing (hotels, restaurants, leisure spaces, etc.) which would come to complete Barcelona as the preferred destination for the brand.
With their first monobrand store in Barcelona, Eichholtz aspires to reach two type of clients, the professional and the private. “We collaborate with interior designers and decorators who we will help with the development of integral decoration projects. Likewise, from our store we can advise private customers who need a hand” – says Gulias. All with the advantatge of being attended through a unique space next to Passeig de Gracia, the epicenter of luxury stores in Barcelona.
